A Houston based DJ was looking for a new identity and his old moniker wasn't working out. He was originally called DJ Bungaloafer, a combination of Bungalow and Loafer, but everyone just called him DJ Loaf. I liked the shorter name and ran with it. I turned Loaf into LOWF as in low frequency and immediately thought of a sound wave. Taking the O from LOWF and adding a sine wav in the middle made the perfect mark.

Fans of DJ LOWF describe his sound as lush, sophisticated, international and even swanky. I found this color pallete to be a nice compliment his sound.
